Samloryx delivers through a small network of specialists rather than a permanent bench. If you build things properly and like working on systems that matter to the business running them, we would like to know you exist.
We would rather say that plainly than run a permanent advert for jobs that do not exist. Samloryx is a small consultancy and it staffs work project by project. What we do keep is a list of people we would call first, and this page is how you get on it. When something fits, we come back to you directly.
Deliberately unfashionable technology, because clients have to be able to maintain what we leave behind.
Java and Spring Boot, REST and SOAP integration, event-driven work on Kafka, PostgreSQL. People who care what happens under load.
React and TypeScript, and the discipline to build interfaces that work on a mid-range Android phone on a bad connection, not only on a laptop.
AWS and Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and the operational judgement to keep a small deployment cheap and boring.
Automated testing that earns its keep, and people who will say clearly when something is not ready to ship.
Engagements are scoped and paid per piece of work, with the scope and rate agreed in writing before anything starts. No unpaid trial builds.
The work is remote. We prefer people in South African time zones because most of our clients need to reach someone during their working day.
Show us something you built and can explain: a repository, a system you shipped, a problem you solved. That tells us more than a list of years.
Where a client agrees, we say who did the work. Subject to client confidentiality, we do not hide contributors behind the company.
Send us a short note and a link to something you have made. We read everything that comes in, and we keep it on file rather than deleting it after a month.
Useful things to include: what you work with, where you are based, whether you want project work or something longer, and a repository, portfolio or system we can look at.
We will not always have something for you, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we have nothing, you will not hear from us until we do.
If you run a small agency or development shop and want to talk about delivery partnerships or overflow work, that conversation happens on the partners page.
