Who is responsible

Samloryx Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, registration 2022/231776/07, operating from 377 Long Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, Johannesburg, is the responsible party for this information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Queries go to info@samloryxconsultancy.co.za.

What we collect

Only what the form asks for, and only what you choose to put in it:

• Your name, email address, and phone number if you supply one
• The role you applied for, or that you are asking to be kept on file generally
• The free-text note you write
• Your CV file, and whatever you have chosen to put in it

The form does not ask for your identity number, date of birth, current salary, race, gender, health information or any other special personal information. Please leave those out of the free-text note. Your CV is your own document and we accept it as you wrote it, but if it contains an identity number you would rather we did not hold, remove it before attaching, or email us and we will redact our copy.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

For one purpose only: to contact you if a project comes up that fits what you do. You choose to submit it and you tick the box agreeing that we may keep it on file, so the lawful basis is your consent. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a newsletter, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Where your CV is stored

In private, encrypted cloud storage that blocks all public access. It is never placed on our website and is never reachable by a link that anyone could guess or share. When someone here opens your CV, the system issues a one-off link that stops working after fifteen minutes. Deleting your record deletes the file itself, not just the reference to it.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside Samloryx. Your submission is stored in our own systems and read only by the people at Samloryx involved in hiring. We do not sell it, share it with recruitment agencies, or pass it to clients. Our infrastructure providers process it only as part of running those systems, and some of that processing happens outside South Africa, which POPIA permits where the receiving party is subject to comparable protection.

How long we keep it

Two years from the date you submit it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or you tell us to keep it longer. That period is not just a promise on this page: the storage itself is configured to delete the file automatically after two years, so it happens whether or not anyone remembers. We would rather state a real period than say "as long as necessary", which means nothing.

Your rights

You can, at any time and at no cost:

• Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Withdraw your consent and have your details deleted
• Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you are unhappy with how we handled it

Email info@samloryxconsultancy.co.za with the word "recruitment" in the subject line. We aim to act within 30 days, and deletion requests are usually done the same week.

What registering does not mean

Submitting a CV for general consideration is not a job application, and neither that nor applying for an advertised role creates an employment relationship, an expectation of work, or any obligation on either side. If nothing suitable comes up, you will not hear from us, and that is not a reflection on your submission.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes in a way that affects information we already hold, we will contact anyone on file before the change takes effect. Last updated 3 August 2026.
