Who is responsible

Samloryx Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, registration 2022/231776/07, operating from 377 Long Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg, Johannesburg, is the responsible party for this information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Queries go to info@samloryxconsultancy.co.za.

What we collect

Only what the form asks for, and only what you choose to put in it:

• Your name, email address, and phone number if you supply one
• The discipline you selected
• Any link you provide to your work, and the free-text note you write

The form does not ask for your identity number, date of birth, current salary, race, gender, health information or any other special personal information, and you should not include any of it in the free-text field. If you do send it, we will delete it rather than keep it.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

For one purpose only: to contact you if a project comes up that fits what you do. You choose to submit it and you tick the box agreeing that we may keep it on file, so the lawful basis is your consent. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to a newsletter, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside Samloryx. Your submission is stored in our own systems and read by the founder. We do not sell it, share it with recruitment agencies, or pass it to clients. Our infrastructure providers process it only as part of running those systems, and some of that processing happens outside South Africa, which POPIA permits where the receiving party is subject to comparable protection.

How long we keep it

Two years from the date you submit it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or you tell us to keep it longer. Two years is our judgement of how long a profile stays useful in a business this size. After that it is deleted. We would rather state a real period than say "as long as necessary", which means nothing.

Your rights

You can, at any time and at no cost:

• Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Withdraw your consent and have your details deleted
• Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa if you are unhappy with how we handled it

Email info@samloryxconsultancy.co.za with the word "recruitment" in the subject line. We aim to act within 30 days, and deletion requests are usually done the same week.

What registering does not mean

Submitting your details is not a job application, and it does not create an employment relationship, an expectation of work, or any obligation on either side. There are no open roles at present. If nothing suitable comes up, you will not hear from us, and that is not a reflection on your submission.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes in a way that affects information we already hold, we will contact anyone on file before the change takes effect. Last updated 3 August 2026.
